Vectra is distributed under the LaTeX Project Public License, version 1.3c or any later version. Read the complete LICENSE and the plain-language usage guide for details.

Maintained Work#

This work has the LPPL maintenance status maintained.

The Current Maintainer is Yixuan Huang, and the official repository is:

Generated Documents#

Your CV or resume content belongs to you. Documents generated with Vectra do not need to use the LPPL, display attribution, include a watermark, or publish their source merely because Vectra was used to create them.

Modifying the Template#

You may modify Vectra for your own needs. If you distribute a modified template, follow the LPPL requirements for identifying changes and distinguishing the modified work from the official maintained version.

Sharing and Citation#

The simplest way to share Vectra is to link to the official repository. A CITATION.cff file is provided so GitHub can generate a citation automatically. Citation is appreciated when discussing the template, but it is not required in documents generated with Vectra.

Questions and Improvements#

Questions, corrections, and improvement proposals are welcome through GitHub Issues. For substantial changes, open an issue before preparing a pull request so the design direction can be discussed first.

This guide summarizes the repository's licensing in plain language. The LaTeX Project Public License controls if this guide and the license ever differ.

Template Source#

Vectra is distributed under the LaTeX Project Public License, version 1.3c or any later version. You may use, study, modify, and distribute the template in accordance with the LPPL.

Generated Documents#

CVs, resumes, and other documents generated with Vectra belong to their respective authors. Using Vectra to produce a document does not, by itself, require that document to:

  • use the LPPL;
  • display a Vectra notice or watermark;
  • cite Vectra or Yixuan Huang; or
  • publish its source.

Attribution is appreciated when discussing or recommending the template, but it is not required inside a generated document.

Modified Versions#

Modified and redistributed template versions must follow the LPPL. In particular, they must clearly identify their changes and avoid presenting themselves as the official Vectra release. The Vectra name and project branding identify the version maintained in the official repository.

Contributions#

Contributions submitted to the official repository are made available under the repository's existing LPPL terms. See CONTRIBUTING.md before opening a pull request.

Third-Party Materials#

Third-party fonts, icons, images, packages, and other materials are governed by their respective licenses. The Vectra license applies only to material for which the project has the right to grant that license.
